Extreme Viscosities

From 1centipoise (cP) to more than a million cP, the nScrypt products can print these materials with speed and precision. Low viscosity materials require more surface tension with the pen tip to aide in controlling the lower viscous fluid. As the material becomes more viscous or a higher particle loading, the material becomes challenging to print using a high surface tension pen tip such as a straight needle. The nTip™ was designed for medium to high to very high viscosities and still maintain good control, small features and fast prints.

Solders in the 100 micron range or lines in the 50 micron range using viscous materials at fast print speeds is viable. It is even feasible to take a very viscous material and begin 3D printing. 3D metallic structures can be utilized for such applications as printing custom jewelry.
